Key Findings
Key Findings from the Ofsted Report
We are pleased to report that the inspection recognised many positive aspects of life at our school:• A Positive and Safe Community: Students are happy and safe in our inviting community school. They enjoy a wide range of opportunities to enrich their learning and broaden their experiences.
• Valuable Learning Experiences: Our trips, such as those to Auschwitz and Ghana, help students understand the history and culture of other countries. These experiences deepen their appreciation of diversity and global citizenship.
• Promoting Equality and Respect: Students understand the importance of equality and know that discrimination is not acceptable. They are respectful of each other’s differences and show kindness to one another.
• Prepared for Modern Britain: Students are well prepared for life in modern Britain. They know how to keep themselves safe, understand the difference between right and wrong, and display a positive community ethos. Our students take pride in representing the school locally and making a positive contribution to the wider world, including supporting local care homes and sharing their artwork as part of a rail safety campaign.
• Improved Behaviour: The report acknowledges our improvements in behaviour. Poor behaviour and bullying are rare, thanks to positive relationships built between staff, students, and families.
• Support for All Students: Staff know students well and understand their needs. Students with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), including those in our specially resourced provision, are well supported in their learning.
